a friend asked if i would illustrate a book her daughter wrote for school. the story is practically adorable about a little girl who's father is the president, these are just a few pictures from the book...

ken bought me a lovely crochet magazine within which i discovered a pattern to give me the idea for this new cozy design..

ever i tire of old sofa pillows...

i redesigned our shabby old pillows. i crocheted these "persian tiles" some time ago with hopes of making an afghan, but i had no where near enough yarn for that. so they have been sitting around doing nothing with themselves... until now. i been pieced together to cover our poor old pillows. and much happier are they now.

don't you love it when you find more buttons to add to your collection...

i imagine that these came from an old woman who collected them all her life and didn't know what to do with them. aren't they lovely? some are quit fitting of past eras, i love it!

the contents of the package...

this is what i made for james and monica's baby boy who is due at the end of this month!

without so much as a piece of tape. in an attempt to avoid a dreaded trip to the store i folded up this gift, tried to hold the brown paper in place with one hand and then wrap the ribbon around with the other. Then proceded to tie the bow. it turned out not too uncomely... if you could only guess what's inside.
